Twitter is what everyone is talking about. It has turned into the new hype. Apparently, it is also causing a lot of problems for some people. First thing I would like to mention, whoever has subscribed to this blog, send a link to this blog to everyone you know whether they know what twitter is, hate it or love it, send it on, because I am tired of hearing people complain about how Twitter makes their life miserable or they refuse to use it. For example, a lot of schools are using Twitter in the classroom. Twitter has turned into a great educational tool and is great to use in the classroom, but some people want to ruin it for everyone by complaining and saying things like “I don’t want to use Twitter. I would rather fail the class instead of using Twitter if I have to use Twitter I am going to cry to my mother about it…” and blah blah blah.
I guess the point that I am trying to make is that Twitter is taking over the internet. I mean everyone is using it, Oprah, Shaq, football teams, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Wayne, etc. But yet some people still chose to try and ruin it for everyone. If you don't want to use Twitter and you hate it, your not the only person in this world so get over it, if you hate it, don’t use it. That is fine, but do not ruin it for everyone. If it is going to be added to your school and you hate it, instead of complaining to the air about it, either use it or drop out, do not complain, I can not stress that enough. I hate math but I have to take it in order to get out of college.
If I refuse to take it then I fail school. Why should Twitter be any different? Why should you be able to complain about Twitter, which is a requirement and get it to ban and still graduate? Why isn’t every class treated equally?
Instead of ranting on about my own personal experience with people complaining about Twitter at my college, but not putting forth an effort to even try it before they put forth their views on it, I am going to close with this. If you at least try it for one week and don’t like it then you can complain about it. When I say complain I don’t mean rant on and on about it forever, I mean in a conversation you can bring up the fact of how you hate it. It works the same way as when people say, “If you do not vote in the election, you do not have a right to complain about who wins” If you do not ever try twitter then you cannot complain about how stupid it is. Try it.
I would appreciate if the viewers of this blog would leave me comments on this post answering the following question:
Do you think Twitter should be used in schools? Why or why not?
Do you like Twitter for your own personal use?
Please leave comments. I think this will clear up some peoples views, well at least I am hoping it will. Thank you!
